Cassina Pro - for public spaces and beyond

Jun 23, 2021

Cassina Pro is a new collection from the Italian factory designed specifically for public spaces, from hotels and restaurants to lobbies and offices. The line brings together a range of contemporary interior products, several design icons, as well as five new products based on drawings by Geoffrey Burnett, Le Corbusier, Pierre Jeanneret, Charlotte Perriand, Ronan and Erwan Bouroullec and Philippe Starck. This is professional, project-oriented and certified furniture meeting all parameters of safety, quality, ergonomics and durability.

For executives and the home office, the collection offers the Exord armchair. This is the first model designed for Cassina by American designer Geoffrey Burnett. The ergonomic armchair is equipped with a high backrest with automatic return and meets the modern requirements for office comfort. The upholstery, which is differentiated according to the support area, provides thoughtful support for the body. There is also a pouffe and cushions which provide additional support for the lumbar region.

The elegant Petit bureau en forme libre desk was designed by Charlotte Perriand for her atelier in Montparnasse back in 1956. The model with its smooth rounded edges and asymmetrical shape is a clever solution for small spaces. The natural solid wood of which the worktop is made adds to its charm. Today, Cassina is introducing small modifications to the model to make it suitable for professional use. A cable duct, located on the left side of the table top, leads to the integrated power supply, which is equipped with two USB sockets and a plug socket.

The table, called LC10, is another timeless design creation. Designed by Le Corbusier back in 1928, it was originally adapted for an executive office. Despite its almost-century history, the model looks incredibly modern and is an icon of pure modernism. The base of the desk is made of trivalent chrome steel and the table top is tempered glass with an integrated pencil holder. Thanks to its anti-corrosion properties, this table can be used not only as a desk or dining table, but also outdoors. In collaboration with the Le Corbusier Foundation, the Italian factory Cassina has reissued the iconic model with the greatest respect for authenticity. The modification only touches on the metal drawer, which has a technical compartment inside that provides built-in electrification, as well as an easily accessible USB socket on the side.

Among Cassina's new additions is the Cotone Slim sofa, created by French designers Ronan and Erwan Bouroullec. The model is designed specifically for lobbies, lounges and restaurants. It is available as a two-seater sofa with a high backrest that promotes visual and acoustic privacy, especially in public spaces. The seemingly simple frame hides an industrially sophisticated construction, the frame in anodised or graphite aluminium. The wide choice of leather or fabric upholstery creates a modern look to suit different projects. The collection is complemented by an armchair and coffee tables with fingerprint-proof table tops.
