Perfect offices from i4Mariani
Jul 10, 2017
On the occasion of its 60th anniversary, the Italian factory i4Mariani is significantly expanding its model range and is delighting its fans with two stands at the Milan iSaloni. Thus, at the Milan forum the company presented upholstered and cabinet furniture for home as well as - for the office and contract sector, where the company has been a leader for decades.
The minimalist yet monumental stand is decorated in neutral tones; against the white and sandy walls, the black and rich-chocolate sofas provide unexpected touches that give the interior a dynamic feel.
White and black are the protagonists of the Office stand at Workplace 3.0, where graphic elements highlight the richness of the natural materials such as leather, wood and metals, and emphasise all the innovative nuances.
"The most important thing for us is perfect quality," comments Stefano Mariani, head of the factory. - From the very first days of our company we wanted to create a product - chairs, cabinet and upholstered furniture - capable of serving for decades. Each piece is the result of a careful selection of materials, painstaking hand work, special attention to detail and design. Unlike many competitors in our industry, we make everything ourselves and are proud to say that the entire production cycle - from the selection of raw materials to the final product - takes place in our factory.
The soft shapes and rounded corners of i4Mariani sofas are designed to remind the primary function of these pieces of furniture - to promote comfort and relaxation. The models' frames are made of poplar wood, naturally dried for several years. The upholstery material is made of leather, which skillfully (even filigree!) dressing has brought the company worldwide fame. The process is not as straightforward as it may at first seem: the finest leathers are processed to preserve their natural beauty and uniqueness.
The i4Mariani office space is not without historical allusions. Matteo Nunziati was inspired to create the new Equa collection by Carlo Scala's architecture and his gift for harmoniously and carefully combining different materials such as metal, concrete, wood and glass. The top of this table is upholstered in leather and decorated with contrast stitching. The side panels, legs and handles are made of metal and the doors are made of wood.
Strangely enough, the owners of i4Mariani claim that to date, with the exception of a few cases, the factory has had almost no problems with counterfeit products. The reason is clear: it is not that easy to reproduce materials and manufacturing techniques used by i4Mariani.
