Kitchen of the week: Armani Dada Bridge

Oct 18, 2017

Armani Dada kitchens are a joint project between the couturier Giorgio Armani and the Molteni Group, one of Italy's largest furniture companies. Today, the result of this creative alliance are several models: Bridge, Checkers and Slide. While the Slide (presented to the public at the last Eurocucina exhibition at the Salone del mobile in Milan) has already been described in detail, now it's time to present the Bridge.

Armani Bridge from Italian furniture manufacturer Dada is a project of a stylish, but austere and minimalist style kitchen. Carefully designed details of the composition of furniture and built-in appliances create a very comfortable space for cooking, which is able to move or close thanks to an innovative folding door system. The sliding partition mechanism is controlled by an electrical device with safety sensors.

The Bridge kitchen is a combination of high-quality workmanship and the use of high-quality materials, such as natural wood and special bronze-coloured, washable, waterproof fabric for the shelves and drawers. The photo shows the solution in dark honey shades, but each Armani Dada piece is individual, and here you are sure to get a custom fit.

While Armani's creative team is responsible for the brand's fashion aesthetic and philosophy, Dada's craftsmen are in charge of drawing up the technical specifications of the kitchen and putting them into practice. This functional separation is incredibly advantageous for the end user, as it allows for both state-of-the-art technology and haute couture exclusivity.

"The collaboration between Armani and Dada began in 2008," says Andrea Molteni, owner and director of design and development at Dada and Molteni & C. - From the beginning, Mr. Armani had the idea of offering his clients not just a product but a lifestyle by Armani - a whole world with everything from suits and glasses to furnished hotels and home accessories. The Armani Casa line already existed at the time, but the production of kitchens was different from that of other furniture. The alliance between the two manufacturers made it possible to combine fashion aesthetics and modern kitchen technology. Incidentally, this is the only Armani line in which the partner brand has retained both its name and identity."

Among the spaces equipped with Bridge models are Armani's 144 residences in the world's tallest building, the Burj Khalifa in Dubai, and apartments on the 57th floor of Moscow's Federation Tower. Armani believes that a private space should be comfortable and at the same time stylistically impeccable, which he successfully embodies in his models.
