Kitchen of the week: Blade by Modulnova

Oct 6, 2017

The modern interior style of a city flat is all about simple shapes and simple geometry. This is exactly what the magnificent Blade kitchen solution from Modulnova meets these requirements.

The unusual arrangement of the functional elements creates original visual effects: parallel volumes and straight lines form the most unexpected geometric structures. The fully equipped central area has plenty of space and there is even room for a practical breakfast bar.

Thanks to the combination of Kerlite, aluminium and glass, the kitchen surfaces are extremely hard-wearing, lightweight and environmentally friendly: all the units can be recycled in an environmentally sound manner.

The kitchen island (bases, side panels and worktop) is made of white frosted glass. The 1 cm thick bar counter is in open-cut Rovere Nero oak; the same material is used on the shelf fronts, which completes the design concept. The actual shelves and uprights, made of aluminium honeycomb panels, are finished in black Fenix laminate with a carved handle for more convenient daily use.

The clever arrangement of the extract units, worktops and fronts makes the kitchen feel very much like a living room. The storage systems have been given new space and are even more functional and efficient.

In this project, a shelf unit mounted in the centre of the room is attached to the ceiling. At the same time, the flexibility of the factory is reflected in the variety of finishes available, or in the alternation of the shelving units on one or more sides and their anchoring to the wall.

The model reflects a moderate asceticism and the desire for simple, unencumbered cosiness, self-contemplation and courage to reflect the personality of the owner. Modulnova sees the interior not as an artificial heap of elements, but as a reflection of the family's inner world, as a reliable and serene rear.

Each Modulnova kitchen is as simple as it is unique. Up-to-date and functional design is embodied by clear, straight lines, high-quality materials and tranquil colours. A minimum of detail allows you to complement the composition of Blade with a variety of accessories and create an original interior.

The furniture factory Modulnova S. r.
