Remote working has become part of reality and European factories are increasingly designing furniture for the home office. This is not a matter of temporary or emergency measures. It is furniture that meets the new needs dictated by the trend towards smart working.
The Italian brand i 4 Mariani focuses on ergonomic and functional furniture that can 'warm up' the home atmosphere even after work is over. Flexibility and versatility are important criteria.
The Napa desk, for example, is particularly adaptable: it is ideal as a desk and changes its purpose as a make-up table. Its lightweight and slim construction in cowhide, metal and glass is supported by eight legs, which are connected to each other by twin crossbars. The pull-out drawer has a silent closing system and is finished in genuine leather. Its contents can also be accessed through the lid on the worktop.
Artur is also a table that adds value to the space. The Art Deco furniture is easy to fit in an office interior, but will just as easily complement the interior of a home office or children's room. The elegant design is based on asymmetrical lines and the materials used are natural wood and leather. On the main tabletop there is an additional shelf that plays the role not only of a decor but also of a convenient shelf. Three leather-trimmed drawers are provided for storing small items.
The tables can be combined with two timeless chair models: Nancy, also available as an armchair with a high arched backrest; and Clap, a director's chair that can be folded away for extremely easy transport.
When designing the Clap chair, designer Umberto Asnago was inspired by the comfort and functionality of the folding director's chair. The Italian factory i 4 Mariani covered the frame of the back and seat in thick saddlery leather, and reinforced the legs with crossed steel tubes. A leather pocket can be hung on one armrest on the side as a decoration or to store various small items. The wooden frame is made of solid walnut.
