Inspiration of the week: FLEXFORM in Mallorca

A magnificent project was realised by the Italian factory Flexform in sunny Mallorca, Spain. This premium brand of furniture needs no introduction: we love Flexform for its stunning design, exclusive minimalism, and moderation in combining innovation and classics.
Italian Flexform furniture is an elite high quality product that combines style, beauty and comfort. Author's sofas and armchairs Flexform, beds, tables and chests of drawers are made only from high quality materials. The presence of such furniture in the interior is always a proof of unshakable authority.
FLEXFORM products are furniture that has been designed down to the smallest detail, down to the slots in the armrests that enable comfortable moving from one place to another. Flexform sofas are particularly well-known and popular. They are the signature lines of the most famous Italian furniture designers.
And in the project on the Spanish coast we find three gorgeous models of luxury sofas of the factory.
Born in 2001, thanks to the creative genius of Antonio Citterio, the Flexform Groundpiece sofa has already become a real bestseller. It is a modular unit which is fitted with removable covers and offers scope for customization and extensive combination options.
The sofa has been around for a long time but its beauty remains in the wide, low height and portability of the design.
Flexform says it has changed the way people sit on the sofa, making it less formal; in the past, everyone had to keep their backs straight and their legs uncomfortably crossed to look appropriately proportioned - more like a Queen's visit than a cosy home. The new design, on the other hand, has freed people from such problems, creating a truly comfortable piece of furniture that makes the setting feel homey and homely.
The model has a metal frame covered in protective fabric, the cushions are filled with down with a form-fitting material insert and the legs are in metal. And another detail that makes the Groundpiece sofa from Flexform truly unique is the metal cabinet with leather finish drawer, which serves as an armrest, drawer, cabinet and coffee table at the same time.
In the same project we also find the Flexform bed from the same collection. The Groundpiece Slim double bed with an upholstered headboard completes the 2012 line and is the perfect solution for modern interiors.
In addition the project features two Flexform sofas, which you can also find at the exhibition in Minsk (Nemiga, 12). The models are the stylish LARIO and BIG BOB.
The Lario modular sofa is also designed by the genius Antonio Citterio, who works with the company on a regular basis. The model combines modern functionality and accurate proportions, for which furniture of this Italian brand is so famous. The design features two seating modes - seated and semi-seated. The new mechanism used here should also be noted: to activate the deeper seating mode, you just need to lean back and the sofa seat will slide forward, turning into a lounger.
The project also includes BANGKOK and FEEL GOOD poufs, a JIFF console, GROUNDPIECE SLIM bedside tables, a PIUMA sliding table, OLIVER, TRIS and GIPSY coffee tables, BOSS armchairs and other items. All items are also available to order in Minsk. Come to the salon at Nemiga for the novelties!
