Cuisine of the week: Lago Air
Nov 29, 2021

The innovative Lago Air kitchen was designed by Daniele Lago in 2016 - at a time when the idea of an open plan with a combined living and dining area had not yet exploded and become a major design trend.
The Italian factory's unique design called for a rotunda kitchen. The author insists on doing away with the top-hung units altogether, or shortening them and replacing them with open shelves. A round tabletop, which serves as a snack table, is integrated into the island. Transparent glass legs make the surface appear to be floating. The table can seat up to ten people, an elegant solution for the furnishing of small kitchens.
The kitchen, which has always been regarded solely as a cook's world, becomes a social space, ideal for sparking conversations and sharing culinary experiences. Around it, guests engage in a magical ritual of cooking. This model is a true ode to festivity and empathy.
The circular kitchen adapts to any space and style: from classic to modern surroundings. Its individual elements can be combined with the 36e8 modular system, making the solution even more personal and interesting.
The Air kitchen is an iconic model from the Italian company Lago, which has retained its form and functionality unchanged in the five years since its launch. The only thing that has been refined is the finish. The brand has added Wildwood and XGlass finishes with its infinite facets that reflect marble and metal and give the space an original feel.
