Kitchen of the week: Toncelli Essence

At the world's largest design exhibition, iSaloni, the Toncelli factory unveiled 3 innovative kitchen models that have attracted unprecedented interest from designers.

And the first new model, Essence, is a curious modification of the 2016 version. The factory continues its research into rare materials and showcases a kitchen in solid ash wood dating back to 1400. This wood has been in a river bed for hundreds of years, absorbed minerals and acquired exceptional stone-like hardness and durability characteristics.

For the fronts, solid ash is impregnated with natural oil, which seals the pores and protects against moisture and minor mechanical damage. The hob, on the other hand, is made of a high-tech material, titanium steel, which adds an industrial touch to the entire design. The heat-resistant, strong and durable material is also popular in the manufacture of jewellery.

The successful fusion of tradition and innovation precisely reflects Toncelli's brand philosophy.

Apart from the unique design, the model features technology and performance typical of professional kitchens. The headset is completed by LG Electronics: the company has designed new products specifically for the European market that are introduced in Essence for the first time.

The premium kitchen solutions are called the Signature kitchen suite. These include completely new products that stand out for their refinement: a handle-less oven with a control panel on the door and an induction hob with a seven-inch LCD panel and black glass cover. The advanced oven offers advanced functionality, including options for combining steam and convection cooking for healthy cooking. All appliances in the range are equipped with Wi-Fi and SmartThinQ™ technology, so you can control the appliances using the free app on your mobile device.

Also noteworthy are the unique handles on the fronts, which have been adopted from the appliances and give the whole kitchen unit a distinctive personality.
