NEW Riva1920 at the Milan Furniture Show!

Exclusive photos of Riva 1920's new products are in this story!

The factory has been in business for almost 100 years, and the date of the name can easily be read in its name. It is undoubtedly one of the oldest furniture companies in Italy, strictly following its own course and committed to national traditions.

Needless to say, the scope of the brand is exclusively wood furniture and eco-style. The attitude towards the solid wood is similar to that of a living being - a philosophy with a simple and wise message: the wood is a gift of nature.

Even at a time when high gloss was in fashion, the Riva brothers continued to produce solid wood furniture, simple in form and perfect in execution, finished only in oil and wax. The company uses oak piles from the wharves of Venice, which have stood in water for tens and hundreds of years, as well as prehistoric cowrie wood, i.e. everything that has stood the test of time. The hand-polished cube table top (designed by Marc Sadler) is made of 48,000-year-old New Zealand kauri, which is no exception to the brand's collections.

Since the early 2000s the factory has added kitchens to its range - minimalist, solid furniture with an expressive texture of natural wood. And on the occasion of the 2018 Eurocucina Biennale, the factory is introducing a new GranGusto kitchen set by Marc Sadler.

In general, the factory collaborates with many renowned studios and designers such as Patricia Urquiola, Karim Rashid, Paolo Pininfarina, Mario Botta, Riccardo Arbizzoni and many others.

Riva does not seek to make production cheaper. What's more, the factory customises each piece of furniture. Unparalleled style and a rigid approach to quality have made Riva 1920 an iconic brand for both centuries.

New Studio is a partner of the Italian brand Riva1920 in Belarus.
