Smania: Furniture for the stars of the Venice Film Festival

At Salone del Mobile 2017 the Italian brand Smania presented its new Contrast collection from designer Alessandro La Spada, and this autumn the factory's innovations were presented at the Venice Film Festival, where they became a fitting frame for the talent of guest stars.
In the Contrast collection, precious wood finishes and carefully selected materials are presented in a new light - thanks to the care and skill that has always characterised the Venetian brand.
The hand-crafted culture is expressed through the attention to detail and is proof of the quality the factory has considered and already expected of it. The result are pieces of furniture of daring beauty, which convey the inexhaustible passion and expertise accumulated over the years.
The furniture and accessories in this collection stand out with a play of perspectives that belies the traditional use of materials. High-quality wooden finishes set off the leather, which is presented in all its exceptional softness.
The contrasts created by La Spada and enriched with oriental influences, thanks to the textures of smooth lines and vivid colours, are so enthralling that it is impossible to take your eyes off your body for even a moment. The unconventional lines and oriental fabrics add character to an interior, emphasising its beauty.
The Smania collection of outdoor furniture by Alessandro La Spada is worthy of particular attention. We found an incredibly comfortable chair Delos and chaise lounge Evia, made of wicker ribbons, and the author's composition was complemented by tables Skiathos and Tahiti (made of teak wood with whitewashed ceramic top), as well as floor and pendant lamps Chios, bronze vases Cook.
