Baxter: From Cologne to Paris in one week
Jan 26, 2018
This year, the Italian brand Baxter is exhibiting at both of these shows, opening the 2018 design meeting calendar. The latest collections, as well as the latest trends in colour preference and leather processing, are presented by the Italian factory at the Imm Cologne exhibition and, immediately afterwards, at the Maison&Objet exhibition in Paris.
The invitations for the Cologne fair will offer a design concept for all of the apartments, including the living room, bedroom and study, with each room offering a different palette of colours and choice of materials. Thus, the basic colours are powder, pearl grey in contrast with dark brown and the colour of green moss, accents are set in the aquamarine colour, and in the bedroom area we find shades of pink, cognac and dark grey.
New additions in Cologne include the Bardot sofa in Kashmir Brule or Tuscany Cetona leather, the Viktor bed in Kashmir Mousse leather, the Libelle library by Pietro Russo, the Matera table by Paola Navone and the Lago table.
In Paris, by contrast, the focus shifts to street furniture and a new collection designed by the high-profile design alliance of Paola Navone, Antonino Sciortino, Roberto Lazzeroni and Francesco Bettoni.
Copper, iron and rattan are combined with leather, which has undergone a special dressing procedure and is dyed to increase light resistance. The leather is "older", tougher and has undergone a special tanning process to give the product water repellency. By contrast, the other types of leather used in Baxter's outdoor furniture are very soft and machine-washable.
The main colours on the stand are shades of blue, aquamarine and green. The range of accessories is made in clay and stone lava and perfectly complements the brand's authentic display.
New Studio is the official representative of Italian brand Baxter in Belarus. Come to the showroom at Nemiga 12 for the novelties!
